Union Gospel Mission Plans to Provide 700-800 Meals on Christmas Day
Union Gospel Mission prepares to feed 700 - 800 meals for its annual Christmas dinner on Christmas Day, Dec. 25 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. located at 3 NW Third Ave.
The menu includes roasted pork; mashed potatoes and gravy; green beans with bacon and onion; fruit-salad with whipped topping; pumpkin pie with whipped topping; dinner rolls with real butter, coffee, hot chocolate, juice, and water.
Food Service Coordinator, Lori Quinney, said, “Now, if that isn’t a Christmas dinner, I don’t know what is? ”
The guests at the Christmas meal will receive a snack pack and gift bag. The snack pack includes a soda, chips, cookies, and a candy-cane. The mission plans to give out about 500 gift bags that will have a hat, hygiene kit, T-shirt, and gloves.
