LifeChange Programs

Women come to Angela’s House from a variety of backgrounds that may include drug addiction, domestic violence, homelessness, and incarceration. At Angela's House, they begin a residential recovery journey that leads toward a restored and thriving life.

New Life

New Life is an initial 60-day program designed to help women and children stabilize so they can breathe freely again. Immediate needs are fully met:

  • A warm and safe bed

  • Clothing

  • Nourishing meals

  • Support navigating their practical needs

During this time, women will connect to the Angela’s House community through classes, work therapy, relational support, and dedicated time with staff and volunteers.

LifeChange

LifeChange is the core 12-month “residential recovery program at UGM” (learn more link here). Participants receive support for holistic recovery, including:

  • 200+ hours of individual and group counseling

  • Work therapy and skills development

  • Connection to a local church community

  • Personalized educational and practical support

Children receive Christ-centered, trauma-informed care in our Children’s Activity Center, tutoring, and the attention required to allow moms to focus on healing.

AfterCare

Graduates of LifeChange transition to AfterCare, where they receive up to two years of continued support that includes:

  • Coaching toward living-wage employment

  • Ongoing recovery support

  • Financial management

  • Housing placement

  • Continued spiritual growth and community connection

Women may live onsite for up to one year following graduation as they transition into independent living.

Transformational Housing

(Launching March 2026)

Many women are sober, working, and trying to move forward but are unstable and at high risk for losing housing or employment without immediate support. Transformational Housing at Angela’s House offers up to one year of low-fee housing, meals, onsite childcare, classes, community involvement, and practical support. This bridge helps women gain and maintain the momentum they need to move confidently into thriving long-term.

Counseling Center

Angela’s House incorporates professional counseling into every step of the LifeChange process. The onsite counseling center includes rooms for individual therapy, children’s play therapy, group sessions, and clinical supervision—ensuring trauma-informed, Christ-centered care for every woman and child.

Donation Center

Angela’s House has a dedicated donation center, where we can receive items for our women and children, other programs, and to sell at the Union Gospel Mission Thrift Store.
