Operation Overcoat 2011!

Planning is underway for Operation Overcoat 2011!  Operation Overcoat is a one day street fair, where Union Gospel Mission and hundreds of volunteers provide clothing, and a barbeque meal to men, women and children in need. This year Operation Overcoat takes place on Saturday September 24 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm in front of Union Gospel Mission.

Operation Overcoat is one of the largest ministry days at Union Gospel Mission.  Up to 2,000 meals are served and thousands of articles of clothing are given away.  It is also one of the most fun days at Union Gospel Mission- live music and a really fun time.

We need your help! We need all kinds of clothing items but especially new socks and underwear, blankets and hygiene items.  You can drop these items off at Union Gospel Mission at 3 NW Third Ave., in Portland anytime and we are having a special one day "collection day" on Saturday September 17 at the new Beaverton Cinetopia from 12 noon - 2:00 pm

Keep checking back, more exciting updates about Operation Overcoat!
