Chelise fled abuse to give her kids a better life, earning her GED and becoming a nurse. But past trauma resurfaced after a brutal attack, leading to depression and homelessness. With nowhere to go, she turned to UGM—arriving with her kids, a few bags, and hope for a fresh start.
