OPERATION OVERCOAT COLLECTION DAY

Saturday, September 28th: 10AM - 12PM

Embassy Suites Washington Square off Hall Boulevard - 9000 SW Washington Square Rd

We’ll be collecting new and gently used clothing, sleeping bags and much needed winter coats and boots.

A First Step to a Changed Life

Operation Overcoat is our annual campaign to make sure our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness have the resources they need to survive the winter. Starting in mid-October, UGM will distribute backpacks with winter gear and a meal to our downtown guests, on our Search + Rescue mobile outreach and at partner locations with churches and organizations in the metro area.

Our goal this year is to provide 800 people with a backpack. The backpacks are filled with warm clothing, blankets and hygiene items. Please partner with us to spread the love of Jesus and make this our best Operation Overcoat ever!

WAYS YOU CAN HELP

PRAY.

Please pray for all the men and women who are on the streets trying to survive the winter. Pray that we can get them the supplies they need to survive and that God will open their hearts to coming to the Mission and joining our LifeChange programs.

VOLUNTEER.
Can you lend a hand sorting items and packing backpacks? We’d love your help. Visit Here to learn more.

ORGANIZE A DRIVE.
Rally your church, workplace or school to gather cold weather items to fill the backpacks. The most needed items include pants, new undergarments, sleeping bags, boots and coats. Then, drop off your donations at Union Gospel Mission at 3 NW Third Avenue, Monday-Friday, 9am-Noon by September 30.
