UGM's 20th annual Operation Overcoat providing winter relief
We consider the “fun” of Operation Overcoat as essential as the food and clothing we distribute. Life on the street can be cold, lonely and isolating. The daily stress to meet basic needs and to stay safe can be intolerable. At Operation Overcoat, we want to provide our neighbors in need a respite from the grind.
Chris’s Story: So much better with Christ in the center of my life
Chris, a Portland native, was a shy child. In college Chris found that alcohol gave him confidence and helped him develop a social life. Soon the casual drinking became a chronic problem.

LifeChange for Women and Their Children located in Beaverton, Oregon is a safe, healing home where women and their children can heal from violence and trauma together.
Luis: New Beginnings
Luis was only in the 5th grade when he was ensnared by the gang lifestyle. The lure of power, respect and intimidation took over his life. “I started robbing, stealing, extorting…getting into fights, sending people to the hospital,” explains Luis. “I brought nothing but disaster and destruction to my life and others.”
