UGM announces new Executive Director

UGM is pleased to announce that Jason Christensen joined the Mission on April 24th as the new Executive Director. Succession planning has been in the works for many years. Our current director, Bill will be turning over leadership of day-to-day operations and will stay on at UGM in the role of Director Emeritus leading the effort to build a new home for LifeChange for Women and Their Children that will double the capacity of the current program.

Jason brings two decades of experience working with vulnerable populations, including the homeless and substance addicted. Jason looks forward to joining an organization that is positioned for growth to serve an expanded mission field.

For the past decade, Jason has been working with Denver-area non-profits and ministries serving the homeless, substance-addicted, those with mental health challenges, victims of domestic violence, and the disabled. Jason provided transitional leadership for Step 13 Denver which is a nationally-recognized housing program for homeless men with addiction. Jason is also in his sixth year serving on the Board of Directors of The Crisis Center which is the lone domestic violence shelter in the South Denver Metro area.

Jason is a believer that the most transformative impact on a person’s recovery is a relationship with Jesus Christ.  It is this belief that excites Jason the most about the work and ministry of UGM.
