Angela’s House is Open
We are excited to share that Union Gospel Mission’s new home for women and children, Angela’s House is officially open! Saturday, September 13th, we celebrated the grand opening of this new LifeChange Center for Women and Children.
This new building will provide recovery and transitional housing for women and children escaping homelessness, hunger, addiction and abuse. This new home is 53,000 square feet, has 52 resident rooms, and will provide a home for up to 80 women and children at a time. It has an education center, a children’s activity center, a commercial kitchen, a counseling center, a courtyard, living rooms and a chapel.

Angela’s House will be home to the LifeChange program providing wholistic healing through classes and group studies that nurture spiritual, emotional, and physical health. Each woman’s journey is personalized, supporting lasting change through faith, care, and community. It will also offer transitional housing programs of varying lengths. Over the next 10 years, UGM plans to offer more than 2,000 women and children a chance at new life.
“There is a profound sense of gratitude among the staff at Union Gospel Mission for the numerous partners, volunteers and donors who have come together to open Angela’s House.” says Matt Stein, Union Gospel Mission Executive Director.
We would love for you to partner with us in ensuring that any women and her children in our community who finds herself in need of help has a safe place to turn.
