LifeChange Center for Women and their Children - The First Month!

It has been just over one month since Union Gospel Mission opened it's doors at a facility in the Beaverton area that allows the Mission to serve women with children.  Women moved from the downtown facility in mid-December, and soon after we were able to welcome women with children.  Women who were living in unsafe situations were able to enjoy Christmas at the new facility with their children, complete with a Christmas tree and toys.

Currently, we have twelve women and seven children at the facility.  We expect three more women and two more children to move in this week.  God has provided as we have welcomed more women and readied the facility by re-furbishing rooms and bringing in wonderful volunteers to help.  The need is still great! You can help - $43 provides a day of housing, meals, recovery counseling and more for a child. $100 provides a day of housing, meals, recovery counseling, case management and more for one woman and one child.  Please provide help today!
