Food Drive! We need canned and boxed foods!

This Thanksgiving, Union Gospel Mission is expanding beyond normal services to bring a special Thanksgiving food box to 300 families in need in the greater Portland area. We need your help to make it work!  Many families and individuals are struggling to get by and cannot afford the traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings.  You can be a part of bringing Thanksgiving to people in need.

Here is our list of needed items: thanksgiving food box shopping list

You can drop off the items at our Food Drive Collection Day on Saturday November 10 at the King City Grocery Outlet from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  During the two hours of the food drive Grocery Outlet will be donating 10% of the proceeds of all sales to Union Gospel Mission.  99.5 FM  The Wolf will be on hand with Savannah with prizes and incentives for stopping by and helping out.

If you can't make it to the food drive, please drop off your items by Friday, November 16 at Union Gospel Mission at 3 NW Third Avenue in Portland.  Because the Mission has limited vehicles and drivers, we cannot pick up items, so it is a tremendous help to drop those items off.  Please consider organizing a food drive at your church, workplace or school and bringing a lot of items - it will be a huge blessing for a family in need.
