Fall Rains are Coming...

While there are perhaps a few sunny early fall days left, fall in Oregon means rain and chilly weather.  Our homeless guests will need rain proof jackets, extra socks and sleeping bags.

Every weekday, the Union Gospel Mission opens its doors to offer those on the street a rest from being outside, and an opportunity to get a hot cup of coffee and a pastry.  Another vital service provided by Union Gospel Mission is our community clothing closet.  The Mission provides all kinds of clothing, shirts, pants, socks, underwear and coats.

The items in greatest demand this time of year are coats, socks, and blankets or sleeping bags.  The Mission relies on donations to supply these items.  Please consider dropping off your gently used clothes and blankets and new socks at 3 NW Third Ave in Portland (3rd and Burnside) to help meet the need this fall.
