LifeChange recovery residents at the Shamrock run

UGM

A number of LifeChange residents took part in Portland's annual Shamrock run yesterday.  They were able to participate thanks to a generous sponsorship from adidas. A few LifeChange residents have put together a running club at Union Gospel Mission.  The running club helps with recovery in two ways: first, the resident becomes physically fit, and second, the resident learns to have fun without drugs and alcohol.  Many residents come to recovery in LifeChange only associating fun with alcohol and drug use.

At the Shamrock run, LifeChange residents were able to have healthy fun.  Team captain, and LifeChange resident, Chance Hemenway said, "We had the most awesome time!"
