Bottled Water Needed for Homeless Neighbors

The warmer weather has arrived, and heat presents challenges for our homeless neighbors living on the street. Staying hydrated and access to clean water is vital.  Union Gospel Mission meets the basic needs of our homeless neighbors in our day room at our downtown location and when our Search + Rescue van visits homeless camps five nights per week.

"We want to give our guests a bottle of water as we close up our services in the day room and we are distributing bottled water when our Search and Rescue van goes out in the evening. Bottled water is a very big need right now," said Lori Quinney, Union Gospel Mission's food service coordinator.

Here are two ways you can help:

-Drop off bottled water at Union Gospel Mission at 3 NW Third Avenue in Portland.

-Order a case of bottled water from Union Gospel Mission's Amazon Wish List and the bottled water will ship directly to the Mission. If you would like a receipt from the Mission for this donation, please be sure to include your name and address on the gift note.

Thank you for thinking of our homeless neighbors!
