Changing Lives One Adjustment at a Time

Dr. Rich Vanderloo, chiropractor, comes to Union Gospel Mission every other Monday to help adjust the bodies of the men within the LifeChange community. LifeChange men and Christina McCusker pose with Dr. Vanderloo.

The men have mentioned that their bodies feel better once Dr. Vanderloo has made adjustments. He has proficiency in a variety of chiropractic techniques implemented based on a person's needs.

Originally from Waterloo, Iowa, Dr. Vanderloo practices in Portland and is driven to help the community of Portland. He dreams of helping as many people as he can through chiropractic care.

In Dr. Vanderloo's words he says, "chiropractic care is a bit like building a house -- certain things have to happen in  particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work together correctly."

Dr. Vanderloo adjusts Kyle's neck.

In addition to volunteering at UGM, Dr. Vanderloo also volunteers at the Oregon Food Bank, The Patriot Project, Alzheimer's Association, and Albertina Kerr. If you would like more information on his practice, visit
