Changing Lives One Adjustment at a Time
Dr. Rich Vanderloo, chiropractor, comes to Union Gospel Mission every other Monday to help adjust the bodies of the men within the LifeChange community.
The men have mentioned that their bodies feel better once Dr. Vanderloo has made adjustments. He has proficiency in a variety of chiropractic techniques implemented based on a person's needs.
Originally from Waterloo, Iowa, Dr. Vanderloo practices in Portland and is driven to help the community of Portland. He dreams of helping as many people as he can through chiropractic care.
In Dr. Vanderloo's words he says, "chiropractic care is a bit like building a house -- certain things have to happen in particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work together correctly."
In addition to volunteering at UGM, Dr. Vanderloo also volunteers at the Oregon Food Bank, The Patriot Project, Alzheimer's Association, and Albertina Kerr. If you would like more information on his practice, visit vanderloochirowest.com.
UGM seeks volunteers who would like to coach or train the men in LifeChange in exercise and a massage therapist (male). If you are interested or know someone who may be interested, please contact Christina Mccosker at 503-274-4483 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
