Summer of Hope on the Radio
It's early June, and we are already experiencing high summer temperatures. Imagine living on the streets in 90 degree heat with limited access to water or a place to just sit and cool down...the thought that it is "easier" to be homeless in the summer is a myth. Union Gospel Mission provides hospitality in our day room for homeless guests. They can get a snack or a cool cup of water, or a t-shirt from our clothing closet. Union Gospel Mission still serves nearly 630 meals every day during the summer, yet donations plummet to their lowest levels in June, July and August.
You can help make it a Summer of Hope for those who are struggling on the streets. Listen in to KPDQ 93.9 FM on Wednesday, June 10 from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm and KFIS 104.1 FM on Thursday, June 11 from 6:00 am - 6:00 pm to hear stories from the streets and learn more about how you can help.
