Volunteers, blankets & coats needed for Operation Overcoat!

It is that time of year again- Union Gospel Mission is kicking it in to high gear planning for this year's Operation Overcoat.  Operation Overcoat is a street fair where Union Gospel Mission gives away clothing, blankets, hygiene items and other necessities, as well as providing a free barbeque meal to those who are homeless or in need.  This year's Operation Overcoat takes place on Saturday, September 29. It takes hundreds of volunteers to pull this off! We need people to help sort clothes in advance of the event, and other important roles to ensure the event is great! If you are interested in volunteering, contact Teresa Dosh, Volunteer Coordinator by e-mail at teresad@ugmportland.org or call 503-274-4483.

We also need donations of blankets, coats, sleeping bags, and more. If you can help, give us a call at 503-274-4483.
