Homeless services going strong in summer
Many people think of donating clothing and other items during the cold months of the year, but Union Gospel Mission's services to the homeless are going strong even in the summer months.
Every weekday, Union Gospel Mission offers snacks, coffee, water and all types of clothing for those in need who come to the door of the Mission.
The greatest needs right now are: men's pants, shoes, new socks and underwear and hygiene items. Those items can be dropped off at the Mission at 3 NW Third Ave., in Portland.
Our daily homeless services are operated by wonderful volunteers and our LifeChange residents. Doug has been managing the homeless services as part of his work in LifeChange recovery. Doug himself was homeless and LifeChange is helping him transform his life. See a video of Doug's story.
